Main Responsibilities:
- Advanced DAX Engineering: Write complex measures and calculated columns to perform time-intelligence analysis, YTD/MTD comparisons, and dynamic ranking.
- Data Modeling: Design scalable Star and Snowflake schemas that optimize query performance and usability.
- ETL & Data Preparation: Use Power Query (M language) to clean, transform, and merge disparate data sources into a unified model.
- Data Storytelling: Build intuitive, interactive dashboards using advanced features such as bookmarks, tooltips, and drill-through actions.
- Security & Administration: Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage workspaces, gateways, and scheduled refreshes within the Power BI Service.
Required Skills and Qualities:
- Business Translation: Ability to take a vague stakeholder request and turn it into a precise technical KPI.
- Performance Tuning: Focused on reducing report latency and optimizing “heavy” DAX measures.
